Hornswaggler | The culture, the humor, a bit of the sports, not so much the politics, and the workplace distraction

Hornswaggle is an alternate spelling of hornswoggle, an archaic word that means to bamboozle or hoodwink. I take my pronunciation from the late Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles" --

"I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, conmen, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers and Methodists!"

Speaking of music, I was very excited to learn that my favorite Dr. Didg tune is featured in the new Catherine Keener flick, "Lovely and Amazing." Saw it featured in a trailer. For those who don't know him, Dr. Didg is former scientific genius type who got into the didgeradoo (I'm not going to look up the spelling) and now has a funky, improvisation-oriented group that incorporates his looping didg riffs into jams. The cd I have of him is up at the High Sierra music festival in CA '99.

Why is picture not loading? Damn blogger.
