Hornswaggler | The culture, the humor, a bit of the sports, not so much the politics, and the workplace distraction

Hornswaggle is an alternate spelling of hornswoggle, an archaic word that means to bamboozle or hoodwink. I take my pronunciation from the late Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles" --

"I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, conmen, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers and Methodists!"

Astute reader commentary leads me to conclude the Counting Crows on Leno the night of 12/10 were covering Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi," which, further, leads me to conclude two other things, that I've got some readers with a solid handle on the Joni Mitchell discography and that "Big Yellow Taxi" was in fact an eponymous song about her banana-shaped vibrator. None of this changes the fact that Counting Douchebags blow four-piece band chunks and Adam Duritz is a tool and possibly the greatest overachiever in terms of pussy-scoring of the 1990s. (Though one of the actresses he's nailed, Winona Ryder, has proven to have maybe some neurochemical oopsies that may have contributed to her poor choice of suitors.)
