Hornswaggler | The culture, the humor, a bit of the sports, not so much the politics, and the workplace distraction

Hornswaggle is an alternate spelling of hornswoggle, an archaic word that means to bamboozle or hoodwink. I take my pronunciation from the late Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles" --

"I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, conmen, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers and Methodists!"

Hockey highlights

You don't think of the NHL as forward-thinking or innovative, but the hockey highlights at NHL.com are top-notch, the epitome of what game highlights should be.* They give you a well-edited 10 minutes or so that includes not just the goals but other dramatic moments from the game. Why waste my time trying to find 30 seconds of Flyers playoff clips on SportsCenter with former hockey goon Matthew Barnaby yammering at me from his surgically reconstructed jaw when I get the real deal online? If you're a super casual fan 10 minutes is probably too much, but if you really want to get a feel for how the game was played, this is a great feature.

*For the playoffs anyway. I don't know if the regular season highlights are as comprehensive, since I don't pay attention to the Flyers until the playoffs.
