Hornswaggler | The culture, the humor, a bit of the sports, not so much the politics, and the workplace distraction

Hornswaggle is an alternate spelling of hornswoggle, an archaic word that means to bamboozle or hoodwink. I take my pronunciation from the late Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles" --

"I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, conmen, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers and Methodists!"

Back in the saddle

Back from a camping trip on California's Lost Coast, where we spent a couple nights at Bear Harbor (above), a spot in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park where there are a few campsites nestled right off a stretch of black-sand beaches. No bears to be seen, though they would've been black bears, not this kind of bear. (Note to self: Bring shotgun on next trip into grizzly country.) Beautiful area, with a big herd of elk roaming around. Will post a couple photos once I have them.
