Hornswaggler | The culture, the humor, a bit of the sports, not so much the politics, and the workplace distraction

Hornswaggle is an alternate spelling of hornswoggle, an archaic word that means to bamboozle or hoodwink. I take my pronunciation from the late Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles" --

"I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, conmen, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers and Methodists!"

Broken Bells

A little late to the party with these guys, but good stuff by Danger Mouse and James Mercer from The Shins. We seem to be living in a melodically challenged age, at least as far as I can tell in my limited exposure to mainstream and indie music of the past few years. But a good melody here. As for the video, I don't really notice the first time I watched, but kinda funny how they just take the kid's remote-control truck.

UPDATE: Perhaps an even better song. And a strange sci-fi video starring Christina Hendricks.
