On "The Daily Show" tonight Bush was shown on a gulf course up in Kennebunkport, where he is preparing for his vacation in Texas, responding to recent violence between the Palestinians and Israelis. He was doing well with his little canned statement, deploring the violence, not taking sides, holding it together, until the very end, when he said, and this is a direct quote: "Thank you.
