Hornswaggler | The culture, the humor, a bit of the sports, not so much the politics, and the workplace distraction

Hornswaggle is an alternate spelling of hornswoggle, an archaic word that means to bamboozle or hoodwink. I take my pronunciation from the late Harvey Korman in "Blazing Saddles" --

"I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, conmen, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, shit kickers and Methodists!"

Carusitas

The Showbiz Show with David Spade, which is pretty funny, did a thing on David Caruso from "CSI: Miami," making fun of his acting. They too have caught on to the black-hole intensity gravitas with which he delivers even the most inconsequential lines*, and they've come up with a word for it: Carusitas.

*Around the time we stopped watching the show even occasionally, despite it being a terrific source of unintentional comedy, was when Caruso's Horatio Kane started dating a much younger Latina hottie who was the sister of one of his junior investigators.

His tone in talking to this woman was no different than when he's talking about a murder, with creepy results, like when she told him she had a good time on their first date and he swivelled his turtle-like neck to the side and fixed her with his diagonal look and said, "So did I," in way that, in real life, would give off just a little bit too much of a serial killer vibe to be successful.
