Tuesday, January 26, 2010What's good for AppleI read today how Apple had its best quarter ever. Happy days are here again. On a related note, the power adapter for my MacBook broke (the cord frayed) and I needed a new one. I went to the local Apple store to pick one up. The price? $80. For a power cord. Now, I suppose I'm stupid for buying anything at the Apple store and not trying to find a cheaper venue. But I needed to replace my adapter quickly because I had work to do. Still, $80? That's obscene. What's the most it could possibly cost to make one of those things, five bucks? That's a 1,600 percent profit. I'm disgruntled. .: posted by hornswaggler 8:40 PM| |
